Description
User questioning and streamer responding epitomize the real-time interactions in live streaming communities. Streamers' immediate responses provide users with social support and affect user experience related to live streaming's economic and non-economic success. The synchronization of live streaming imposes higher demands on the improvisational response capacity of streamers. Unlike traditional online communities, the social support delivered by streamer responses is provided in an oral way. How does the audio vehicle deliver informational and emotional support to impact the user experience? Based on Zhihu Live, this study employs audio and text analysis methods to decouple the linguistic content and auditory signals of streamer oral responses. Empirically findings reveal that positively impacting on user experience, information support is embedded in response content, while emotional support contributes through auditory signals rather than the content path. This proposes a response strategy of "emotional voice, informational content" and contributes to both academic and practice.
