Abstract
In the process of forming public opinion and spreading social discourse, it is very important for individuals to express their views without being disturbed by others. This freedom can be a criterion for determining whether a nation, society, or corporation is healthy. However, there are situations where it can be challenging to voice your opinion, both offline and online. This study examined the influence of individual perceived opinion support for a given discourse on social media on willingness to speak out based on the spiral of silence theory, construal level theory, and attitude certainty. All three hypotheses presented through the research model were accepted. This study can be said to have conducted necessary research for companies, governments, and society in that it examined the opinion expression environment on social media by considering the spiral of silence and the psychological factors of people to compensate.
