PACIS 2020 Proceedings
Abstract
Alignment of resources, actors, and technologies is key to development of sustainable healthcare services in ASEAN. In this project, we seek to examine how diverse reference actors in selected contexts develop efficient, digital-enabled services through alignment mechanisms in the healthcare sector. This research-in-progress paper presents ongoing case studies that will be conducted across ASEAN, to uncover how multiple actors in vastly different service innovation ecosystems align their skills and technologies. Our preliminary findings suggest that, given structures of innovation vary, generative mechanisms help reference actors in the ecosystem alignment process, increasing the likelihood of sustainable human and economic development – key pillars of the region’s growth strategy.
