Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze how healthcare professionals' competencies influence the use of the Electronic Information System in public health organizations. The research had a quantitative approach, with non-probabilistic convenience sampling of 159 health professionals. The questionnaire included adapted scales from three theoretical models: EDCRUS (knowledge and skills), TAM (attitudes), and information systems success model (use). Data were collected via electronic form and analyzed through multiple regression. The model explained 67.1% of the variation in SEI use. Of the six hypotheses tested, three were confirmed. Perceived usefulness and ease of use showed the greatest influence on system use. The results can support the formulation of more effective training programs, oriented to the specific demands of users and the complexity of the tasks performed.
