Abstract
Business processes represent the backbone of organizational operations, outlining the steps and interactions that drive final activities. This process-driven structure is crucial to optimizing efficiency, promoting transparency, and ensuring consistent delivery of products and services. On the other hand, data governance refers to the set of policies, procedures, and practices that ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout its useful life. This research addresses the central question of how to model data governance based on business processes. The scope of the study aims to develop an innovative data governance method based on modeling business process flows. This ongoing work aims to answer the proposed question, exploring the synergistic integration between data governance and business processes, thus contributing to advancing knowledge in this interdisciplinary area.
