Abstract
This paper proposes a regulatory framework for autonomous transactions, smart contracts, and blockchain technology, building on insights from the comparative analysis of traditional and smart contracts. The objective is to address the current lack of specific legislation in Colombia and provide a robust legal foundation for these innovations. Using a comprehensive review of legal texts, expert interviews, and practical case studies, the study evaluates the implications of proposed regulations. Results indicate that clear guidelines for transparency, security, data integrity, and legal recognition can enhance the adoption and reliability of smart contracts. By integrating findings from the analysis of traditional and smart contracts, the proposed framework aims to balance innovation with legal certainty, ensuring protection for all parties involved.
