About ISD2024 Gdańsk
The 32nd International Conference on Information Systems Development (ISD 2024) was held on August 26-28, 2024 in Sopot. Established in 1988, ISD has consistently provided a collaborative space for researchers, practitioners, and educators to share insights and engage in discussions on the latest advancements, trends, experiences, and challenges of information system development. The theme for ISD 2024 was "Harnessing Opportunities: Reshaping ISD in the Post-COVID-19 and Generative AI Era".
From a total of 236 submissions (excluding 2 journal-first submissions), 41 full papers, 33 short papers, and 50 posters were selected following a rigorous double-blind review process involving at least 3 Program Committee members. The acceptance rates were as follows:
- full papers: 17,4%
- full and short papers combined: 31,4%
- full papers, short papers, and posters combined: 52,5%
The technical program was further enriched by inspiring keynote lectures from three distinguished speakers:
- Xiaofeng Wang: The importance of asking the right questions
- Marinos Themistocleous: How the Metaverse is reshaping our reality
- Piotr Szczuko: Dos and Don'ts of LLMs: How to Survive Past the Trough of Disillusionment?
Additionally, a hands-on workshop by Wilfrid Utz and Iulia Vaidian on "The Value of Digital Twins of Design Thinking in Digital Agility: The Scene2Model Approach" provided practical insights into the evolving landscape of digital innovation.
