Track Description

Information and communication technologies and services (ICTs) are contributing to revolutionary changes in business and everyday life of people. New services, applications, tools, computer-aided design and new management techniques made possible by ICTs are contributing to changes in the competitiveness of companies and societies. ICT changes the way how we work, communicate, interact, learn, heal… It is only a matter of time before market mechanisms ensure that all the world’s citizens enjoy the benefits of a global information society.

Information and communication technologies in today’s society take an important role, but technology, alone, does not create economic growth and social progress. Relationships are critical to beneficial interactions between technology and its users. Without people, none of the progress and social gains ICT enables would be possible. Issues like the impact of ICT on quality of people's lives, employment, education, networking, communications, business and public organizations are main areas of contribution of this track.
