Description
Intrapreneurial initiatives are instrumental in advancing a company’s innovation capabilities. Hence, many companies aim to support employees in developing new ventures by providing a fruitful environment and digital ecosystem that kick-starts those endeavors. However, despite significant progress in the understanding of intrapreneurship, the role of digital technology in intrapreneurial undertakings remains under-researched. This paper aims to establish the interest in studying intrapreneurship in the context of both social and technological perspectives by conducting a structured literature review on the enablers of intrapreneurship: 79 articles were systematically identified, categorized and synthesized adopting a socio-technical lens. Thus, this research contributes to a better understanding of intrapreneurial projects and the factors influencing its progression by aggregating dispersed findings, interpreting those results and providing avenues of future research.
