Abstract

This work builds on the Kamal-Qureshi Framework of Information Systems (IS) architecture for microenterprises to include cybersecurity concerns as outlined in the NIST Cyber Security Framework 2.0, with an explicit focus on the Identify Function. The contribution of this study is twofold. The first is in the integration of the two frameworks resulting in a helpful blueprint for microenterprises to guide them towards better understanding and handling of cybersecurity risks and empowering them to take control of their cybersecurity resilience. The second is in understanding the impact of cybersecurity resilience on socio-economic development of the firm.
