Abstract
A growing number of organizations have invested in Big Data Analytics (BDA) with the purpose of extracting valuable insights that can ultimately help them achieve competitive edge. Recent studies have commenced investigation of how to increase organizational success with BDA implementation through an Enterprise Architecture (EA) approach. However, a holistic understanding of how EA practice can guide BDA implementation and related organizational transformation is limited. Most previous studies are conceptual in nature and overly focus on technology while neglecting business issues and often overlooking stakeholder concerns. The study extends prior studies that integrate BDA and EA by unfolding the transformation process and impact of implementing BDA within an organization guided by EA practice. Based on an in-depth case study, a preliminary model is developed to show how EA practice can facilitate and guide BDA implementation. This study is expected to enhance understanding regarding the integration of BDA with EA.
