Abstract
Sellers’ opportunism in e-commerce significantly threatens the sustainability of the e-commerce business ecosystems. However, prior literature analyzes this phenomenon in a scattered manner. Hence, it lacks a systematic review to comprehend the antecedents, consequences, and intervention measures for sellers’ opportunism. This study utilizes the antecedents-consequence-intervention framework to develop to synthesize the existing work. Further, based on the review, this study proposes 16 future research questions to thoroughly examine sellers’ opportunism on e-commerce platforms. This study further concluded by presenting the theoretical and practical implications of the current research.
