Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic influences multiple companies accompanied by a changed working style for their employees. Therefore, we investigate the change in employees’ satisfaction and the relevance of different job facets in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic in a broad cross-national study. Due to several limitations of employee surveys, we use user-generated content of online platforms where employees can rate and review their employers. By analyzing it with Natural Language Processing (NLP), we observe significant temporary changes in several job facets’ ratings and relative relevance. We found that employees value good leadership and communication during the first half-year of the pandemic. In contrast, employees value their salary more in the later course of the pandemic
