Abstract

Digital transformation has essential differences from IT software development projects because of its nature of technology-driven organizational transformation. Many studies have pointed out the barriers and changes in digital transformation projects. Companies seek various ways to increase the likelihood of digital transformation success. Based on the socio-technical system theory and organizational readiness for change theory, this paper proposes that the readiness for digital transformation with four dimensions play a critical role in making the change-related effort and producing successful digital transformation outcomes. A research model is proposed, and a future research plan is discussed.
