Abstract
Crowd innovation space is the product of the innovation and entrepreneurship boom that has occurred in recent years. This paper uses the three-stage data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to evaluate the input-output efficiency of crowd innovation space for 30 different regions in China. By comparing the results of traditional DEA analysis with those of three-stage DEA analysis, it is found that the actual input-output efficiency of crowd innovation spaces in some regions is not optimistic, mainly owing to the low scale efficiency(SE) and optimal allocation of resources is required for improving the management level. Furthermore, the efficiency difference reflects the importance of environmental factors, such as the level of economic development and the government’s degree of attention paid by the government to the development of crowd innovation spaces. In this paper, specific suggestions were introduced according to the research results.
