Abstract

The Trustworthy Governable Platform (TGP) is an Information Systems architecture for accountable communication and governance in complex multi-party and inter-organisational settings. Rather than treating information exchange as the primary object of digital support, TGP treats structured conversations, institutional roles, commitments, provenance and their governance as first-class objects, enabling organisations to establish who is accountable for what, under which role and mandate, and how commitments and governing arrangements evolve.

This problem has become particularly urgent with generative AI: as AI increasingly participates in organisational conversations, inquiry and decision processes, conventional systems may record data and outputs without adequately preserving the provenance, human responsibility and institutional standing of the resulting actions. TGP therefore addresses a growing Information Systems challenge: how to make human–human and human–AI collaboration not only digitally supported, but accountable, trustworthy and governable.
