Abstract
AI systems with autonomous capabilities offer the potential for high reward since they can complete tasks more wholistically. However, such systems have potential for high risk since they have capabilities to control real world processes with or without human oversight. In 2021, an autonomy taxonomy was proposed, but little has been done to validate it. This research in progress study looks at how a contemporary literature review and text mining study can help test the usefulness of the taxonomy.
