Abstract
This paper compares the informational dimensions of the tours of two emblematic figures in popular music, one French, Renaud Séchan, and the other international, Bruce Springsteen. This research mobilizes the robust theoretical framework of the UTAUT model (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) developed by Venkatesh et al. (2003) to explore the way in which artists use, appropriate and assimilate the technologies made available to them in the context of their stage performances and their rela tionship with the audience. We explore the model's four main variables: expected performance, perceived effort, social influence and facilitating conditions. This work first outlines and justifies the theoretical framework, then presents the methodology be fore highlighting the respective major explanatory variables 1) expected performance in the case of B Springsteen and 2) social influence in the case of R Séchan. At the end, limitations, perspectives and openings conclude this paper
