Abstract

The article embarks on a comprehensive bibliometric journey to elucidate the complex interplay between knowledge management capabilities and perceived performance within information technology small and medium-sized enterprises (IT SMEs). Through a meticulous examination of occurrences, word frequencies, and clustering analysis, this study unveils pivotal thematic realms that significantly sway IT SMEs. Utilizing the cutting-edge tools of RStudio software and the Biblioshiny application, the research methodically dissects average citations per year, presenting a dynamic view of research impact and evolving significance within the domain. Furthermore, the study delves into authorship dynamics via Lotka's Law and geographic contributions, showcasing the global and collaborative essence of knowledge management research. A factorial analysis unravels the layered dimensions of research trends, guiding both researchers and practitioners towards crafting nuanced strategies. The collective insights underscore knowledge management's paramount role in amplifying IT SMEs' performance and competitive edge, marking a significant stride towards understanding and applying knowledge management strategies in the rapidly evolving IT landscape.
