Introduction

The editors of the Journal of the Southern AIS are pleased to announce the publication of Volume 7, Issue 1.

In this issue we have an interesting paper from Ramakrishna Ayyagari and Austin Crowell. They continue the develop of the Security Behavior Intentions scale (SeBIS). They are the first to find support for the relationship of “device securement”, the methods used to ensure that unauthorized use of the device does not occur, with level of perceived risk in the situation. Their paper further develops this scale as a predictive tool for security behaviors.
