Abstract

Public organizations are going smart, developing smart work practices that contribute to shaping future digital as well as smart workplaces as meeting places that support collaborative views to work design and improve the quality of life at work. Public organizations are adopting a smart view that supports work innovation by embedding smart work design that supports social and organizational changes, leading to digital, smart and innovative as well as collaborative workplaces. Smart working public organizations are advancing by going smart and enhancing the human and social side of collaborative as well as innovative working. Public organizations aim at driving digital work innovation and transformation, leading to smart workplaces that bridge human, technological and social capabilities, by empowering people to identify the ways to achieve job satisfaction and quality of life within communities at work.
