Abstract
This article deals with the process of reconfiguration of traditional newspapers' businesses in the digital environment. This reconfiguration was motivated mainly by the decline of their traditional business model, caused by technological advances and changes in reader behavior. This issue is relevant, since the viability and sustainability of newspapers are fundamental to editorial independence and the reliable production of content for society. The objective of this work was to identify the business models applied by newspapers in the digital environment. To achieve this objective, a systematic review of the literature was carried out, discussing the main themes that permeate the decisions of traditional newspapers in the digital environment. It is expected that the results will contribute to the literature, with the expansion of the theoretical basis on the subject and, for practice, contributing to companies that are going through similar processes of reconfiguration of their business models.
