Abstract
Gender inequalities in Computing and Technological Sciences are evident and have social impacts. In this context, social networks can be utilised to promote initiatives and actions that foster gender equity in these areas. This study analyses Brazilian Instagram profiles focusing on female leadership in STEM, aiming to contribute to gender equity. A total of 32 profiles from different regions of Brazil were analysed. The initiatives found were predominantly from institutional profiles. The actions related to leadership identified include examples of women leaders, events and lectures on the topic, courses, and experience reports. It was observed that while these profiles encourage women to pursue leadership positions, they also highlight gender inequalities, such as the low number of women in the field and the questioning of their capabilities and skills.
