Abstract
Mixed Reality (MR) is trending and its usage for businesses seems promising. However, a general approach for implementation in businesses does not exist yet. A structured pattern approach derived from established business processes could help businesses understand and implement MR technology to support recurring problems in business demands. To gain an overview about MR, businesses and patterns, a structured literature review following vom Brocke et al. (2009) is undergone. Our findings give an insight in already implemented standards for MR, ideas for implementations in businesses and attempts for categorization such as technical types, realization stages, frameworks and living patterns. Based on this, we developed a research agenda for future research on MR Patterns for Businesses. Therefore, future research as well as business can use our overview to dive deeper into MR Business Patterns as well as to develop further MR Business Patterns, supporting the adoption of MR.
