Abstract

Given the limited understanding of AI's impact on corporate entrepreneurship, this study explores how AI resources (AI utilization and AI governance) promote corporate entrepreneurship, especially with top management's involvement. Using data from Chinese firms and hierarchical regression analysis, findings reveal that AI utilization and governance positively impact corporate entrepreneurship. Top management beliefs positively moderate the impact of AI utilization and AI governance on corporate entrepreneurship. Top management participation negatively moderates the effects of AI utilization and AI governance on corporate entrepreneurship, with no significant moderating effect of AI governance on corporate entrepreneurship. The findings suggest that managers better maintain a positive attitude toward AI technology and gain in-depth knowledge in AIrelated concepts to promote corporate entrepreneurship.
