Abstract

In today's information-driven society, knowledge doesn’t last long. People need to keep learning. The experiential learning approach, which focuses on practical use, becomes very important. Combining this with Conversational Agents (CAs) can improve learning. A study involving 150 participants, guided by a CA in the fundamentals of argumentation, revealed that learners using a Conversational Agent with Kolb's Learning Cycle achieved superior outcomes in practical knowledge verification compared to those relying on a CA without the learning cycle. This underscores the effectiveness of merging experiential learning principles with Conversational Agents for improved educational results. The findings suggest that embracing technology in the realm of experiential learning contributes significantly to individual knowledge acquisition and application, addressing the demands of a swiftly evolving knowledge landscape.
