Abstract

The transition to digital workplaces has fundamentally transformed traditional office environments, particularly through the rise of work-from-home (WFH) arrangements driven by technological advancements and global disruptions. This research addresses the dualities of WFH, highlighting both its benefits—such as enhanced productivity and employee autonomy—and its challenges, including blurred boundaries between personal and professional life. As organizations navigate the complexities and mixed sentiments surrounding WFH, understanding its affordances and constraints becomes crucial for fostering employee well-being and optimizing performance. By employing the Theories on Affordance and Constraints of Technologies (TACT), this study aims to provide a comprehensive perspective on WFH models, offering insights that can guide digital entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations in strategically implementing blended work arrangements to align with sustainable development goals.
