Abstract
The evolving landscape of digital workplaces has prompted a significant shift in traditional office models, notably the rise of hot-desking practices. While these arrangements provide flexibility and foster interdepartmental interactions, they also pose challenges to employee well-being and job satisfaction. As organizations transition back to in-office work post-pandemic, understanding the nuanced effects of hot-desking becomes increasingly critical. This study leverages theories on Affordance and Constraints of Technologies to explore both the positive and negative implications of hot-desking. By examining the balance between employee motivation, performance, and well-being, this research aims to offer actionable insights for organizations seeking to optimize their workplace strategies and enhance overall productivity in a hybrid work environment.
