Abstract

With the rapid evolution of the pandemic, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have been forced to change their Teaching and Learning (TE) methodologies and organizational processes. In this sense, it became pertinent to deepen our knowledge of how this whole issue was approached in HEIs.

The research objectives were to identify the main changes in organizational processes, characterize the teaching and learning process, the availability of technical resources and the perception of teachers and students about the functioning of the institution in which they work.

We opted for a Multiple Case Study methodological approach, and the information was collected using semi-structured interviews with the governing bodies and agents of the HEIs involved in the EE process. In a first approach, four HEIs were selected. From these, the two HEIs to be studied were selected using the previously defined selection criteria.

Once the key ideas had been identified, they were cross-referenced with the classifiers previously defined on the basis of the digital transformation success factors.

Finally, conclusions were drawn on the data obtained. Thanks to the contribution of the various stakeholders from both HEIs, it was possible to conclude that despite the Covid-19 virus pandemic having accelerated the DT process, both HEIs managed and implemented the DT process well.
