Abstract

The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic that causes COVID-19 has had a global impact and has led to a disruptive change in the everyday lives of millions of people. The closure of schools and research centres has forced a complex shift towards a model of distance learning and work in which Teachers, Researchers and Students have had to adapt quickly. This study aimed to know the impacts of COVID-19 on teaching and research within the APSI community - Portuguese Association of Information Systems. To this end, an online questionnaire was created by AIS - Association for Information Systems, in the APSI community, and subsequently developed workshops to deepen knowledge of the limitations that the pandemic brought to the daily lives of members. The results of this study draw a more negative scenario, where respondents point to an increase in the workload, a decrease in scientific productivity and a negative impact on the relationship with the family.
