Mobile apps can help individuals manage their health and well-being and may also promote healthy lifestyles and information access. The study provides descriptive information on the BC apps available in Google Play. We intend to contribute to the literature in BC app evaluations, and our objective of this study is to provide 1) an overview of breast cancer mobile apps on the current market; 2) assess user comments, and 3) provide practical suggestions to potential users on what to apps to download. Data were collected from Google Play using the keyword search of breast cancer. When evaluating the reviews, apps with low ratings generally provide more constructive feedback or express more frustrations than apps with high ratings. The comments from the highly-rated apps further confirm prior findings that women become positive, and they tend to find the benefits derived after life-changing events like BC diagnosis.
