Knowledge exchange and combination build the core of innovative activity. However, the processes of knowledge exchange and combination are inherently associated with risk. Consequently, for knowledge exchange and combination to occur in an organizational setting, the organization members must be encouraged towards risk-taking. Organizational cultural norms promote a certain behavior among organization members. Accordingly, this study focuses on risk-taking an organizational cultural norm and investigates risktaking’s influence on knowledge exchange and combination.
