Abstract

Recent college graduates struggle with interview anxiety, which is further exacerbated by AI anxiety, stemming from AI-driven changes in the job market such as declining entry-level hiring. Beyond these challenges common to all college graduates, Information Systems (IS) students face the added complexity of preparing for interviews that encompass technical, business, and behavioral components. This research proposes the design of a hands-on assignment to help IS students prepare for AI-informed interviews while developing their AI literacy skills. Leveraging various AI tools and platforms, the assignment will guide students through seven steps in interview preparation. It can be readily implemented into IS courses or offered as a standalone workshop, making it accessible to a wide audience.
