Abstract

Music performance anxiety significantly impacts music practitioners' performance and well-being. Despite the development and implementation of various interventions and digital technologies, their limitations prevent effective use and do not align with musicians' preferred coping methods. This project aims to design a novel coping strategy, focusing on two key objectives. Firstly, we aim to understand user experiences and related challenges with existing coping strategies. Secondly, we plan to explore the potential of immersive technologies in coping with music performance anxiety tailored to the needs of music practitioners. The research will culminate in creating an immersive strategy that integrates various impact factors of different users, enhancing the efficacy of regulation for music performance anxiety throughout the music educational process.
