Abstract
In this conceptual study, I draw upon the ancient Indian philosophy of Yoga to develop an evaluation framework for ethics in Information Systems implementation. To test the robustness of the framework, I use ChatGPT to generate analytical scripts, which are then applied to run text analysis on the interview excerpts of an agricultural marketing information systems project. The results of the text analysis procedures indicate that Yoga provides a strong framework for evaluating the ethics of information systems implementation. Additionally, the use of ChatGPT makes generating a text analysis script significantly easier. The study provides a real-world example of how AI can help researchers bring to the forefront knowledge from unexplored ancient philosophies.
