Abstract
In information systems (IS), the concept of organizing vision is used to narrate the exchange of ideas surrounding diffusion and adoption. Yet complex algorithmic technologies such as robotics may shift the focus due to even larger communities discussing their intrinsic complexity and multiplicity of business opportunities. For instance, robotics in agriculture currently experience considerably slow adoption and diffusion. Oftentimes, robotic products are presented at dedicated forums which provide rich insights on community judgements. Valuation of novel technology is an inherent part of its diffusion and adoption. To show that a multiplicity of subjective value judgments is present in such cases, we studied how value traits and overall robotic rankings unfold within a community. For that we applied a novel combination of lenses: organizing visions and judgments.
