Abstract

Cloud based services offer an opportunity to support the growth and development of micro-enterprises by enabling low cost Information and Communications Technology solutions delivered over the Internet, to be made available to them so that they may adopt with little effort or skill. Since the ability of micro-enterprises to adopt technology depends upon the unique conditions in which they find themselves, the goal of this research is to investigate the ways in which Cloud based services may support the growth of micro-enterprises to facilitate socioeconomic development. In this study, we do this through an in-depth analysis of two case studies of micro-enterprises in the Western New York region.
