Description
This study, grounded in impression management theory, examines corporate digital transformation through a "motivation-strategy-impact" framework. he digital transformation behaviors of enterprises are divided into symbolic and substantive behaviors, and the influence mechanism of negative publicity on these two types of behaviors is explored. Recognizing the government as a key stakeholder, the research investigates how corporate-government dependency moderates these relationships. Additionally, it considers the role of technological and geographical heterogeneity in defining boundary conditions. Finally, the economic consequences of these strategies are analyzed through corporate reputation, offering a comprehensive view of impression management. The study provides theoretical and practical insights into how companies can use impression management to address negative publicity in complex environments.
