Description
This study examines how stakeholder relationships in platform business models drive value creation and support sustainable development. Prior research has mainly focused on platform users and economic factors to explain value creation. In contrast, this study integrates economic, relational, and nonfinancial dimensions, considering both primary and secondary actors. To answer the question of how stakeholder relationships contribute to sustainable value creation, this study adopts a conceptual approach based on platform business model theory and the literature on trust and reputation. This study proposes a new conceptual model that illustrates how collaboration among stakeholders improves platform performance and sustainability. The results advance the theoretical understanding by linking platform strategies to sustainability outcomes and provide valuable insights for managers to strengthen stakeholder collaboration and ecosystem resilience. This conceptual model lays the groundwork for empirical validation and future research on sustainable value creation in digital platforms.
