Cybersecurity training attracts more and more interests of individuals and organizations, but its effectiveness is often questionable due to its voluntary nature. Despite extensive exploration of curiosity in IS research, it has not been examined as a predictor of goal-setting in the context of cybersecurity training. The purpose of the research is to identify the effect of cybercuriosity on goal-directed behaviors in the context of cybersecurity training. This research is expected to underscore the influential role of cybercuriosity in shaping internal goal-setting processes and highlight its potential to enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity training initiatives.
