Abstract
This paper proposes a system that extracts keywords from Web documents accessed by a customer and uses them to trace the preferences of the customer. The system extracts keywords using natural language processing technologies. The extracted keywords are registered with Customer Preference database and are analyzed to judge the preference of the customer. The keywords are also stored in Keyword Management database to make the latter keyword extractions more effective. The proposed system reduces the load on server side by executing keyword extraction processes on client side. Moreover, this configuration enables real time collection of customer preference data.
