Abstract
This paper explores the pivotal role of artificial intelligence (AI) investment on economic standing and evaluates Russia’s AI strategy and highlights areas for improvement. Using literature review and Large Language Models (LLM), we conducted a comprehensive analysis of AI policies and investments in Russia, integrating these findings with global trends to gauge Russia’s position in the global landscape. The research reveals that while Russia has intensified efforts to harness AI technologies, substantial gaps persist in comparison to leading nations. Findings include the importance of education in nurturing AI talent, balanced public-private investments in fostering innovation, and global collaboration in growing technological advancement. Despite Russia’s concerted efforts to bridge these gaps, there is a need for a more focused, holistic, and sustained approach to achieve global leadership and to successfully position itself as an AI powerhouse.
