Abstract
Successful digital transformation requires converting an organization’s employees from legacy talent to a future-ready, digitally empowered workforce. We describe how the CEO of ASK Consulting, a U.S. recruiting company, successfully guided his employees through sweeping technology-driven organizational changes by treating the employee transformation as a rite of passage. Based on the ASK case, we explain how to structure a rite of passage and recommend actions for the master of ceremonies (the change agent) who shapes the employee experience and leads employees through a digital transformation.
