Abstract
The rise of generative AI systems is disrupting higher education. A panel of 40 experts assessed 20 propositions using the Delphi method. The results reveal a lack of consensus on whether these developments constitute a revolution, a strong consensus on numerous associated risks, and the emergence of three prospective scenarios, including the prospect of a new cognitive divide between a minority "enhanced" by AI and a majority "diminished" by it
