Abstract
This work analyzed the connectivity of Curitiba’s cycling infrastructure based on data from URBS and IPPUC. A total of 27 critical discontinuity points were identified, undermining the safety and efficiency of the system. Although the network has expanded to approximately 400 km, it still presents fragmented segments, overlaps with bus corridors, and inconsistencies in route classification. The limitations of georeferenced data hindered accurate analysis, highlighting the need for greater transparency and standardization. As a proposal, the construction of transition bike lanes in strategic areas, such as República Argentina Avenue, is recommended to reduce fragmentation and improve modal integration. Future studies should consider variables such as signage, road width, and traffic flow, while also extending the analysis to the city’s peripheral regions.
