Abstract

The threat landscape is constantly evolving, requiring organizations of all sizes to reevaluate their security strategies. The Zero Trust model has emerged as an effective solution to mitigate cyber risks, especially in large companies, however it is also relevant to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). This work presents a review of the literature on Zero Trust, exploring its history, theoretical framework and applications in SMEs considering the cost-effectiveness relation from its implementation.
