Abstract

Organizations follow their own methods of adopting Information Technology resources, aiming to align technologies with business to achieve objectives that differ from organization to organization. In this sense, it is necessary to understand the strategy that involves the adoption of cloud computing by organizations. This study seeks to understand how the decision and adoption of cloud computing in organizations took place, based on the dimensions of the use of information technology for the benefit of business. Preliminary results indicate that different drivers influence decision-making, resulting in different benefits and results. The administration and governance dimension appears to be the most mature because it shows similar behavior among the different companies.
