Abstract

Family farming in Brazil relies on agricultural financing for its production, but often this process occurs with errors and without technological support. There is a need for an information system to support agricultural financing, as many rural producers still use outdated and bureaucratic procedures, resulting in delays and difficulties in obtaining the necessary resources. This article proposes an information system solution through a web platform that automates the financing procedure for family farmers, managing property data, documentation, and project details, thereby simplifying the process. Based on the socially aware design approach, the research utilized Design Thinking to develop a proof-of-concept solution and a usability evaluation. The results comprise a socially aware characterization of the problem, along with design artifacts such as UML diagrams, prototypes, and a solution implemented with web technologies, PHP, and MySQL.
