Track Description

Model-driven engineering (MDE) is a new and general paradigm that, in the last year is being widely used in Information System Development (ISD). The application of this paradigm and advanced programming concepts in development of information systems is well-known by facilitating the process of application development. The importance of this paradigm in ISD is a relevant line in this moment. In fact, in the last years, this track was included in ISD and it discusses higher level concepts in information systems development including flexibility and optimization to fulfill the needs of organization and society reshaping.

The track deals with current achievements of advanced programming concepts and software development paradigms like Model-Driven Development (MDD), Automatic Programming (AP), Generative Programming (GP), some advanced concepts of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP), Domain Engineering, Meta-programming and Software Product Line Engineering (SPLE). Papers covering other software paradigms aimed to facilitate the information systems development are also welcomed in this track in order to offer a site to discuss about new tendencies and experiences of MDE in ISD.
