The ICIS 2026 Theme Track on “Digital Collaboration and Coexistence” solicits research that advances our understanding of how digitally mediated collaboration and the capacity to coexist amid pervasive digital technologies reshape work, organizing, markets, and everyday life. Rather than treating digital technologies merely as tools or infrastructures, the track emphasizes collaboration and coexistence as ongoing socio-technical accomplishments shaped by evolving roles, dependencies, and power relations. In doing so, it invites research that examines not only how digital collaboration is enabled, but also how forms of coexistence with increasingly autonomous, agentic, and connective technologies are negotiated, stabilized, and contested over time.
Track Chairs:
Ofir Turel, University of Melbourne
Jonny Holmstrom, Umeå University
Kai Larsen, University of Colorado Boulder
